88 4d Rear Speakers

Question 88 4d Rear Speakers
I've got an 88 4d winter beater, with only the two front speakers. I was looking to put some speakers in the back but in noticed the 5 1/4 that i had kicking around don't fit! The size of the hole is okay but the bars from the trunk hinges get in the way. Anyone know the solution?

Create your own speaker mounts that stick further out, so the base of the speaker won't touch the hinge.

I think im going to go the 6x9 route and build mounts for those
