Too bad Michelin Alpin P2's or the Bridgestone Blizzak series don't come in 14s because I would suggest those with your big $900 budget. But if I had to get something for 14" rims I'd get the X-Ice.

I would get the cheapest ones possible, they are all soft and besides you will only burn them off anyways..

i went with the nordic ice trac. seems ok to me. i'll know when the first snow hits.

the ice-x and blizzaks are premium tires and cost about 30-40 more per tire. i would get a set of steelies. saves you time and money in the long run.

Look into Pirelli Winter Carving's or Blizzaks. We are puttin alot of them on right know and everyone who has or had them last year loved them. Hey n1_taboo havent you ever heard of "You get what you pay for" all tires are not the same. If winter tires are winter tires then what makes summers so different from each other ??? You can pay $30 more now and get more life out of your tires or save a few bucks and pay more in the long run.

Dunlop graspics arent to bad, and very cheap. Im running Michelin Artic Alpins on my car though I believe they have been discontinued, my mom is running the nordic icetracs which are decent but a bit harder compound then others, and my dad is running blizzaks which are the softest winter tire i have seen yet. I personally would reccomend the blizzaks, and I am pretty sure they do make them in 14's. It will actually be interesting to see which tires handle the best this winter because both my parents and I drives civics with simalar handeling characteristics.
