wiring b

I'm putting a B16a into my 1991 civic.. and i was searched at the standard auto wreckers and they have a 1990 civic si.. this weekend being all you can carry for 45$... i found an si wiring harness... so i was wondering... what it would take to hook that up to my B16 and what else i would have to do?? I was planning on geting this done at altech but being strapped for cash i would like the least expensive way possible.. so if i got this harness would it work and what adjustments would i hav eto make...
i'm assuming... add vtec.. knock sensor.... and i am right that an si is mpfi right?? also is it hard to pin the connecter to the ecu?? Thanks Dan

also adding to that i found a crx with what looks like a B series swap.. you can see the vtec silinoin.. and w.e so this one should be plug and play.. i just have to add wires to the ecu? or i can even take the wires right throught the fire wall?? but if this doesn't work out.. gone???would my previous(si) work??

i've never touched a 4th gen but i'm almost certain you will need to add wires to get a b16 in....

could be any dohc vtec engine really... usually you can tell by the valve cover but that one is all shiney

i'm not sure about the actually wiring but you need a mount kit to get the engine in for one... that i do know for sure...

okay heres the deal..easiest way to do this....

grab an si harness and resistor box...i will see you at standard

you will need to add 4 new wires to the harness which will run to ecu and 4 wires which you should ground againist the starter

1. oil pressure switch
2. vtec solenoid
3. knock sensor
4. second o2 sensor

if you need pins locations...just ask

that makes sense because they are mpfi..
that was my second choice.
but what about the crx pictures i attatched that look like a Bseries engine it has the vtec selenoid on it .. so i'm asuming it has the rest...i just want to make sure i'm right... i kno with the si i'd have to add wires.. but i was under the impression if i took the harness of the crx and it is indeed a bseries engine would it not be plug in and play?.. and would it be hard to pull the wires through the firewall so basically i will have the ecu pins already done as well?

that car is at standard? NICE i'm going bright and early...i will leave the harness for you

i cant say for sure then with out seeing the car..depends what harness is in that rex...whether they used the stock si harness or swapped in the b16 harness

either way you will need to run 4 wires through the firewall...not hard

thats easy for you to say ahha.. i don't know much about electrical and wiring.. but would it be hard to pull the wires through the firewall so i basically the whole thing?? or is it not worth it.. and i got dibs on the valve cover .. maybe i'll meet you there i'm going to be there at 8 i'll meet u at the crx

well the harness in that crx might be an si one....but either way it will already have all the wires...if your driving the dx i can show you where to pull the wires through too
