Unhappy why is she consuming more fuel?

i have the 01 4 dr civic. i used to get 600-650 km/tank. but now i'm only getting like just over 500 km/tank.

the spark plugs were just changed 2 weeks ago.

check for dragging brakes, check your tire pressures, and finally you can use a scan tool to check all your sensor parameters.... make sure the O2 is working and so on. but beyond a basic tuneup... not much you can do if everything else is cool.

but it is true, I get about 100-150 kms less per tank in the winter as well depending on how much hwy driving I do.

then ur the one with the problem lol. getting to 400 should never be a problem with a civic. I average about 450 -500 depends on how and where im driving.

haha yeah after a full fill up....i'm happy if i can get 400km....

i usually get around 300-350km a tank....could it be my mods on top of the fact that i'm not the most economical driver? lol

check your air filter, could be really dirty
replace it or clean it if its aftermarket

driving habits play a big role in mileage. Someone who drives only 5km or so, per trip, through the city , won't see the mileage of someone who drives a lot on the highway.
I get about 450kms to a tank (i fill up at about 1/8th left, sometimes a little less) pretty consistantly of mixed highway and city driving on my b16. I don't drive like a granny, but i'm not constantly beatin on it. B16's aren't exactly the best on gas (from what i've seen) even stock, mines about 11.5:1 compression, built head, stage 2 cams, so mods don't really make ur car worse on gas. Sure, if its faster its likely using more gas (due to the fueling needs of higher output engines), but tuning plays a big role on modded engines.

air filter changed when i changed the spark plugs a couple of weeks ago. also changed oil/filter, a/c filter, ATF...tire pressure is ok i'm sure.

ya, i dont know what affects milleage...mechanically speaking.

as for my driving habits...the same...if anything, i'm less agressive. my driving route is the same too.

got close to 535 km off this week's tank with 8 L left in the tank.
