well i want 16's at at max 17 inch light weight rims.
and it has to be advan RG's so now i am gonna check out what the clearance is between the rim and spindle and then go from there. worse comes to worse i will just buy the buddyclub or spoon brake kit tho they look stock and arent that big they will do the trick. i love baer and willwood unfortunately they are U.S brand names and i would much rather not use them.

the other problem that i will also encounter with a bigger brake setup will be the fact that i would have to leave the rims on throught the store period in the winter because i dont want to leave it on jacks since i want to have the vehicle mobile which is also a no no.

so much crap over stupid mods i hate it.

oh p.s. i have decided to keep the b16b for the up comming season in my car and then for the year after I am thinking of going k20 r because 95 percent of the shows require atleast 1 major mod in every aspect of the car in order for me to compete again and there is no point in going all out if I wont be able to compete the year after and since I am not doing crazy bodyconversions and stuff like that like I did with my last 2000 civic the exterior will mostly remain the same.

So this is pretty much for looks, right? CTR calipers should be more than sufficient if combined with a good pad and rotor. You've seen the videos, Jay...The 'R' actually stands for Racing in Japan.

I haven't had big brakes before. But i have stainless steel brake lines and changed it to prelude master cylinder. It stops like no tomorrow. I dun think u need big brakes.

i have nothing against a us made product except that they are over priced and garbage. LOL like every other us made product.

ahh, okay cool.. I agree with you that they're over priced for what they are, but I find jap products to be pretty expensive as well.. spoon, mugen, jun, etc.. :thumbup:

actually all the parts you just mentioned are super dirt cheap. but they get marketed up hardcore especially when they are sent oversea's. locally in japan they would be super cheap.
for example spoon parts in hk and stuff are like dime a dozen atleast compared to north america.

we are overseas.. so unless you got people over there sending you parts or you're willing to make the trip, we have no choice about that..

not being able to do anything about it? well kinda too to some extent. anyone with a phone and half a brain can order parts from japan and get it directly rather then paying the marketed prices here. obvioulsy the down side is the time it takes to come down and all the hassle's of shipping and recieving.

I got my brakes off Scott(93HBSI, cant remember) and they work like a charm, minus the brake squeel which I still have to figure out.

I was gonna do a 5lug, but came across this deal.

For the base it uses a all wheel integra disc brake system, the calipers although stock and OEM have been modified to accept 11" rotors up front and in the rear.

So that makes my rotors the same size as the ITR in the front and bigger in the rear. Still allows for a 15" rim or large, looks super dope with a 15" rim. The caliper and rotor barley fit, looks tIgHT y0!!

I think the rear rotors are from a VW corrado, these puppies are night and day from my stock garbage.

Next season once I get new SS lines and my MC and BB and prop valve I'll be dying to get to the track.

Its hard to see but thats them, I would recommend this setup for anyone, way more then anyone will ever need, plus you can still use small, light rims :thumbup:

anyone here know any good cleaners to clean brake dust from calipers? i basically want to bring back the factory shine to the rear disc brake calipers and so far i tried soap and water and some alcohol and got the surface stuff off but the pits and stuff have still dirt trapped in it and even using a brush didnt help I am thinking about using Rim cleaner (the orange brand they have at canadian tire forgot the name) is that safe to use? and is it even worth using like will it come out? or is there a better product i can use?

anyone????
