I think most of us have swapped 'em out well before that, in order to drop them.. lol!

I can't answer your question, sorry. But I can say that with aftermarket springs, stock shocks are not going to last you very long.

stock shocks and stock springs on Hondas are extremely good quality. they last the life of the car. if you modify it or have undue stress on it (read: hit curbs and massive potholes) then you shorten the life. so when the car bounces around out of control, that's the time to replace them. Otherwise, I'd say 200-250K kms on a set of OEM shocks with an easy life (mostly highway, some city, no curbs)

I dont think I have money for struts =(.

Stock struts with Eibach Pro springs, you think it'll last me to 250k? Considering that I drive cautiously.

I don't think so but it's possible. I did 100K on stock struts lowered, but it was all highway drive.

shoudl last a good amount of time stock springs and shocks btu wiht lowering springs it's not really how long it will "last" cause the shock isnt' designed to handle it so. At the least just go get tokico Hp "blue" shocks those will work good with pro kit springs.

come to a meet and go with someone for a drive... they'll tell you if your shocks are blown.

sumtimes u get lucky with lowering, my car wuz slammed for quite awile, i even bought it lowered, and the shocks were pretty decent even till this day, but of course once u lower u car theres like an 80% chance they'll go bad. U'll know when to replace them, and when u do i guess its always good to go with aftermarket ones

you can tell if your shocks have died if like... you wake up the next morning and there is this puddle under your car where your tires are... thats a for sure way to know your shocks are blown...but then again lol i dropped my car 4in on stock shocks so i was asking for it
normally tho, just drive.. if you feel that the car is really bouncy or you can almost feel every little bump in the road, replace your shocks..
also... if u do have to replace them, replace the rears first b/c usually they are the ones that go first and that way you save some cash not putting them on the front

i thought the front should die first then rear? since the engine+driver/passenger will most likely stresses the front susp first

that idea seems more logical... hmm.. maybe your right
in my situation tho, thats what happened to me, my rears died then after i replaced them, car ran good again

they will leak if blown, if you push down on the car and it bounces more than a couple of times before it stops they are blown. I've seen honda's shocks last 280,000 miles before my buddy sold the car b/c the clutch went, which was stock as well.
I wouldn't just replace the shocks at 100,000 kms.

380,000 km and still going strong. I have a rear driver bushing squeak when backing out of my driveway on a cold day, but in the words of HAMMY HAMSTER..."That's another story..."

how you drive?
some people have to replace them sonner than others, some havn't replaced them at all...
they are meant basicaly to last the life of the car, but if you have a heavy system, drive rough, have lowered your car, then hell you looking at upgrading your shocks
