What springs are better????
I can get a set of Suspension Techniques lowering springs new for $325, I can also get a set of used H&R lowering springs, the red ones if that means anything, from my buddy who owns an import auto wreckers, the used H&R look in really good shape and they are $200 with shocks. I drive a 92 si HB. Is there any difference in the Civic CX, DX, or SI shocks, b/c if the H&R's are off and an SI, and have lower K's then mine, I'll get them. What do you think?
Thanks,
Shane

I have H & R's and I love them.
If your buddy is selling the sports, I would grab them, but if they are the race, they i wouldn't.
the thing with buying used springs, is that they worked in on someone else's car, which might have a different weight than yours. for instance if the shocks came out a 92 hatch, that have two 12's in the trunk, and you're putting them into your car, with no, subs, there will be a difference in height on your car.
what kinds of shocks come with the springs?

H&R used to make spring for neuspeed till 95. and the part number are diffrent after that. and the box are diffrent after that too.
part Number are:
neuspeed sport 3-55-20-17
Race 3-55-20-14
H&R part number are in 5 digits(don't have it handie)
the red H&R are road race spring and F2 1/4" R2"drop
i like the road race ones, after install more then 500set of springs at work, but those race spring have to go with a good set of shocks like koni yellow adjustable..this is the closest thing to real racing coilover but still nothing conpare..

i would go with the hr springs also, but i think that i have heard that the hr race are very rough because they are made to be run on a smooth track and not for the everyday issues that we face on the regular road.
