What happens when you bang the steering wheel?

Ahh... while parking, accidently turned it too much and bang! Any major damage?

yah happens to me all the time... Im assuming its just a metal stopper, thats ment for that purpose, either in the sterring rack, or the the wheel assy...

Anyone else care to elaborate? Ive wondered my self what stops it, but eveytime im under my car or doing suspension/brake work, It seems to be the last thing from my mind... always forget to look...

it's a steerign rack it jsut ran outta radius to turn to it stopped and yes it will have some sorta stopper to it dosent' grenade itself....no biggy jsut dont' ram the steerign wheel when you turn and you will be cool....

yah VEX, like dont worry about anything being broken... your wheel aint gonna fall off now or anything like that...

Just hoping no damage to the power steering / alignment. Good thing they put stoppers. I really need help avoiding that sometimes.

haha... I do it sometimes by accident. I'm certain it won't do damage, but try to avoid full lock-to-lock manouvers anyways... it's bad for the CV joints and may also flatspot yout tires if the car is not rolling.

K Thanks B! I remember from driving school... once I got in trouble for doing it... than the instructor said "DONT BANG THE STEERING WHEEL. You will damage the steering rod ..."
