With the CRX MC, the brakes would work with the pedal halfway down. Now they work near the top of the pedal's travel. You get a firmer pedal and less brake fade (since there is more brake fluid running)
Its a nite + day difference.

*You might also want to get a set of SS brake lines. The rubber ones tend to expand under extreme heat.*

I used a 15/16 MC from a 91 EX sedan, no bending required.

You can also bolt up a 1" MC and large booster if you feel so inclined, all you have to do is either bend existing or make up a set of lines.

Surprisingly if you get it used but not stolen a 1" CTR/ITR master/booster combo can be hard for$100-150.

thats so much more work + money for a very lil noticeable difference in braking.. I wont be racing my crx..

The prelude one serves me very well... I bought it today and it only cost me $230 ! regular price is $345 !
Working at a dealer has its benefits ! hehe

Naw, it's rebuilt OEM. Brand new aftermarket are still only $150. Works just as well though, how hard could it be to replace a few seals.... my EF seems to be holding up fine.

Never buy aftermarket stock parts. The quality isnt the same...
Performance parts and stuff is ok to go aftermarket though.

I always use OEM whenever I can.

lol.. where you guys getting your prices from ?

Are you guys talking about used or new parts ? OEM or aftermarket ?

compare apples to apples.

If you wanna know how much a dealer charges for a 1989 Prelude Si MC then give them a call.

ok, so your stock master lasted 14 or 15 years.... so you got another OEM master, so say it lasts another 14-15 years.

do you really think your CAR is gonna last that long? sorry, but my EF is 15 years old, no way in hell I'm gonna buy OEM parts where they are not needed.

on the EK though, it's a different story....
