hmm i always thought that the jdm b16a2 only had like 170 and the usdm one had 160..i didn;t know its 189 maybe u have some info wrong or is it just me...i would like to know this bc i'm pretty sure the jdm b16 only have 170...not 189...

the JDM b16A is 170HP USDM is 160 .... Civic Type R is around 190-195 but that's a b18b. I own a JDM b16 and its 170HP

LOL Open the hood and look @ the valve cover!!! If it says VTEC you got it if it don't then you don't get it????

if you got a d16y8 then yeah you got vtec...you got the Si (cdn version) or the Ex(us version) but yeah you got vtec. you can also check the top left corner of your motor...if you got a brown upside down shot glass looking thing then yeah...rev your motor and listen to see if it suddenly gets louder.

oh yeah forgot...i'm running the same motor as you...in terms of specs the d16y8 pushes about 130 hp and 106 lbs/ft torque? i forogt, someone help me out. i want a b16a2 or a b18c1 though ...those are motors
