yup, so now it looks like I'll need the passenger's side axle from my buddy after all.

only if it looks worn at all..
how tight does the CV fit into the seal when the car is on the ground?? what are the chances the axle is a hair too long and riding up against the seal??

bb..what other outlook is there??

Yep,, me and my mechanic are going under the assumption that the wrong axle is in there. Its only the passenger's side leaking too. So to be sure it'll work, Im going use that new seal on a rebuilt axle that was use on the same tranny as mine.

We'll see what happens. ******* stupid civic,,, its giving me more problems then my DSM did!
