toyo tires good or bad??

i heard they weren't that great for the price! i don't know the difference between proxes FZ4 but for proxes 4 alone were crazy expensive. i opted for some cheap falken ziex tires, 370 for 4. they do wear quite fast and i'm looking into yokohama's es100.

why do you want 40s? i don't know but that's too low for me. i'd go with 45s on 16s but whatever floats your boat. i'd check kuhmos too, they're nice tires as well. and what is it that you're looking for? all seasons or strictly summer tires?

get some kuhmo ecsta MX tires, my friend had them on his s2k and they were wicked. but they only have 205/45/16s which is the closest thing to what you're looking for.

lol, you obvousily dont' know what the Goodyear EAGLE F1's are, if you think your going to get them for $1200 with rims,
no man $1200 is just for the tires, and he's orderd rims for another $1000
so, it's gonna cost him $2200 LOL, that's an engine swap for me almost
and about you original question my friend has the toyo Proxes 4 all season, and he got them for $700 the tred design on them is real nice, and they handle real good

now i remember why i heard they weren't that good. i heard the road noise was crappy. but that can be compensated by blasting your music . wtf is ur friend doing spending 2200 on some tires? are eagle F1's that good to be worth that price? but if you can, ride in your friends car who have different tires if you can. that way you can experience first hand how the tires are.

If your going to spend $1200 on tires, I'd get Toyo T1R's. Screw the Eagle F1's, Toyo T1R's hands down.
Fz4 are the worst toyo tires money can buy. The Fz4's are out of production anyway. The proxes 4's are their replacement.
I'd recommend getting the Toyo proxes 4. I have them myself, and I've had them on for about 1 week. I'm impressed with the performance, and comfort on the ride. I don't hear a lot of road noise. I always listen to music, but I don't always listen to music too loud.
My winter tires make a lot of road noise, so trust me when I say they don't really make much road noise. My winter tires are also toyo's.
In dry traction and wet, the proxes 4's are excellent. In snow conditions, they actually perform better than most people would expect. I'm not saying you should run them in the winter, but they handle pretty well in the snow. If your wondering, I'm running 215/45/17.
btw, don't buy those crappy kuhmo 712's. Every gets them, and they suck. Kuhmo quality sucks a$$. Just remember, if you want cheap tires, Oh, you'll get cheap tires alright.... (keep that in mind).

i'd also vouch for proxes 4, wicked good tire. grips like mad but can be very pricey if bought in canada, got mine in us so i'm laughing
i've yet to make them break traction and i've taken on-ramps at some pretty good speeds. i personally think they are alittle noisy though.
the proxes 4 is an all-season, but realistically, you wouldn't want them in more then 2" of snow anyways. they are a summer tire.

Do you even know anything about tires??
I bet you haven't even driven a car with either of these tires. I have driven cars with both these tires.
I bet your even running kuhmo's on your ride. Don't even get me started with crappy Kuhmo's. They are cheap in price for a reason.
