Swap into 99 civic

Ok, I just bought a 99 honda civic 4 door off my parents, it has 350000 k on it (we drive alot) it still runs strong, but i want something with a little more power and something that i can turbo, I was wondering what the best bang for the buck engine, and how much they should cost in toronto, and the shop names where i could get this done.

Thanks,

Dennis

I've been searching for a LONG time, I was looking at one called a B16b, but I dont know if that will go into my car.

You haven't been searching long enough. Use the searchbutton at the top right of the page.

b16b is the civic type r motor, i dont think u'd want to go with that because it is just too damn expensive. get a b16a2 (SIR) or a b18c (gsr). The gsr has the same hp output as b16b and likely a little mroe torque and it is cheaper as well.

b16b is definitely too expensive, but if u like really high-rpm motors thats the one.

I would recommend a B18b1 or a B20z swap with a GSR tranny, fairly inexpensive and are fun on to drive around with. if you plan on running a decent turbo setup the B18b1 is better than the B20z because the b20 has thin cylinder walls which can fail with higher hp FI setups.

BTW welcome to the board:)

i think u should install a b16a :) fast easy, reliable, and fairly cheap

B20Z! B20Z! And then tell me how much it cost you so i can stat saving. Cheers.

you WANT a GSR engine... B18C1

you could settle for a B18B, just cuz you wanna turbo it anyways.
