Suspension Sir vs. Si

I have a 2000 Civic Sir, and I was wondering if anybody knew if the struts from a 2000 Si are the same as the ones in my Sir?

OEM or aftermarket?

I had stock SiR struts on my Si for a bit and I sold them to a Hatch owner. I'm sure they are valved slightly stiffer due to the weight and performance differences between the different models. They will physically fit though.

correct, they are valved diff't with diff't spring rates, but they are essentially interchangable.

The SIR should be valved slightly stiffer, to give you an idea the springs are only 30lbs stiffer on a SIR vs SI, so the shocks should not be much stiffer.

You could easily throw the SI's on, but you would lose a tiny bit of performance. What about shocks like KYB GR-2? they are pretty cheap and would be better then SI ones.

Thanks, yah the only reason I ask is lots of OEM replacements from KYB or KONI list the same part number for both the SI and SIR.
