I'm looking to lower my '98 Civic Si G.. What is better lowering springs or Coil Over kit? I've been looking at the OBX Coilover kit and for lowering springs the Eibach Sport Line, Progress, and H and R.. I'm looking for a comfy ride.. no jumping out of your seat when you go over those 401 and gardiner bumps..I'd rather not go to low so I can outhandle most expensive sports cars..

I am not an expert on this topic, but if you change spring, you should also change your shocks at the same time. I believe there are a lot of combinations. Just go back to page 2 or 3 or even 5 and you are bound to find a couple thread where people asking what spring to get and etc...

Koni Sport and Eibach together can't be beat for overall comfort and performance. If you can stand a slightly harsher ride, then H&R springs can be substituted... if you are on a tighter budget, then KYB AGX or Koni Red can be substituted for the shocks.... Progress springs are also excellent.

JIC Majic is more shock than most of us would know what to do with. After these H&R ones I'm either going back to spring and shock or going to Ohlins/Fightex/JIC...
Try and stay with what you'll actually use.

What spring rate? What sleeves? Yes, it will remove a lot of the bounciness, so much so that you'll prolly notice it a lot less, but your ride will likely not be optimal still... harshness will still be there.

Progress is an american co... good price on springs, very nice soft rates, but still stiffer than eibach... they have extensive experience in racing, they have a land speed record Civic, and also several autocrosser civics, and a few road racing cars. I like their stuff - optauto has them at a great price

I see, I suppose I can buy Progress spring and Koni shocks from them again eh? But which section am I looking for? Sport springs or Racing springs?
Do I need other stuff or they are just direct bolt on?
