stupid spring install question...

ok... i have some nuespeed race springs... they are "progressive" like the coil is wound tight at one end and looser at the other...

anyways which way is it supposed to sit when installed... like loose end up or down?? cause from looking at the writting on all the springs the rears should go loose end down... and the front should be tight end down... is that correct?? that way the writting would be facing the right way and not upside down...

I think the writing should be the right way so that you can read it on the car ... I could be wrong though ... phone neuspeed and ask them

i think i might tomorrow morning... i dont understand why the fronts would have tight end down and rears the other way... but that is the way the writting says normal so i'm guessing that is how it goes

on my h&r sports, the part number is labelled so that you can read it.

if you have race springs...your car will look killer......but you'll need new shocks soon.

can't wait to see it.

ya no pics or anything... and the nuespeed website only has install thing for sway bars or something.... i'm guessing they go so the writting is facing normal....

james - yes it will look very good... it will be a very rough ride and the shocks are gonna die soon cause they are factory originals

anyways its go time on the springs now... i gotta pick my mom up at 230 from work so i hope i can be done by then

OMG... the spring has a shape that you can't install it wrong..... the part of the spring ground flat goes to the top, the part of the spring that is cut and terminates on a coil goes to the bottom and lines up on your lower perch. No way you could install them upside down.

sure they do... they damn well better, else if they don't and you bought the springs used, then the person before you chopped a coil or two, and the springs are garbage.

well no even on the neuspeed website you can see they dont... and i doubt they were cut cause the finish at the end is as smooth as anywhere on the springs... even the stock ones i took out didn't either... weird... but they did only fit in one way... so all is well....
