my stage3 clutch is too heavy for daily use. and i have bent 4 clutch forks already. so i am thinking if i can use stock pressureplate to make my clutch softer and keep my strong stage 3 disc? thx guys

the pressure plate is what makes the clutch strong thats why its called a "pressure"plate. the disk is part of the equation but not the reason for a stiff clutch. you may want to try a different spring loaded type disk which will help huge for daily driving.

call the clutch manufacture and see what they say. i would trust their opinion more than anyone on a message board.

Technically, you should be able to use a Stock pressure plate if you want to. However we don't know what the final clamp load will be. (torque holding abilities) Your still better off talking to the Manfacturer first.

Yes you can. I did it in my last car and it held for over a year and the new owner is still driving on it.

In my CRX I had a stage 3 clutch on my stock B16 pressure plate. There was a lot more gripping than a stock clutch but a little less than with the real pressure plate. For daily driving it was a lot easier to drive with, especially being cable.

I would swap in the stock one especially since you need a new pressure plate anyways.

I gaurantee that the manufacturer will say that it won't work or that they don't recommend it in order to get more money out of you.

With a stage 3 didn't you have some kind of warranty with it?

warranty on a race clutch? i dont think so scotty. i dont think its a problem of the clutch is bad it seems to be more of a buyer screw up, mind you he may have been misinformed on what to buy. what power are you making and what engine?
