spring rate ideas for street autox
Hi guys, who is running what spring rates. Ive got Koni Reds, and according to Koni, I cant go over 440 in the front and 240 rear, which are both double the OE rates. Ive got 450's in the front now and its damn choppy on a daily basis with this damping. Any ideas???? The rears are around 200. Im thinking 350f 200r. Something needs to change, I was at the last solo of the season, and the car pushed a lot.. a lot. Stayed flat though!! Any help is appreciated. Ryan

Some people switch the springs so the car would oversteer easier.
I run 16K (899lb) on the front and 14K (787lb) on the rear. Street setting is set to 1 or 2 dampening level, and track is 5 (max). Shock and spring mix quite well and I don't really feel any roughness in the car.
You can add a small rear sway bar to counter it.

charles, that must be almost unbearable to drive on the street... i'm running ground control 400lb fronts and 350lb rears with koni single adjustables in my crx and it is almost too harsh. my daughter tells me "daddy car too bumpy".
i took the front sway bar out and i only get over steer now.
