sohc vtec?

sohc vtec?
I have a d16z6 under the hood of my eg...
If anyone knows whats wrong with this picture please tell me..
wtf is this...I see this part but nothing goes into it




right side

left side

motor
closer

even though you can only see the d16 it does say z6 after...

yeah I know that.. but doesn't the car has vtec... wheres the vtec at lol I cant hear it except a high pitched sound when i hit 4000 rpm.. but i do not think thats it.

see on your valve cover int he pic listed as " left side" see the hose going to the intake?
right under that that greyish brown cylinder looking thing is your vtec sylinoid

nah i hear the same thing with my D15B7 when i hit 4k.

its rite behind your distributor, u need to look harder boyeeee! Vtec is hard to feel with a d16z6, dont worry, that is a z6. your valve cover doesnt say vtec on it because they only started writing vtec on them in 94 and 95

thats where your vtec solenoid is, its a bit dirty maybe thats why u didnt see it

with an intake you just hear the intake.. as it gets louder in rpm's.. you don't hear vtec on a d series
