Question Soft break pedal

Every so often not sure if its the heat, but sometimes not often, when u break after driving for abit ur foot slowly gets closer and closer to the floor when u push on it. I am due for front rotors and pads but there not squeeking yet so not worrying and i'm just wondering what it could be??

If you are experiencing a spongy brake pedal it can be caused by air in your braking system

your brakes don't have to squeek to be worned down. I would change the rotors and pads. or u could just bleed the brakes.

It could also be a possible master cylinder.
Air won't just get into the system by itself unless the system has been open just prior to your problem.
Also if your car has a disc/drum setup, I would also check the rear adjustment. The drums are what gives a "high/firm" pedal.

how much is it going down? eventaully your brakes are going to fade a bit if ur driving around town for a while especailly if ur braking hard and its hot out..if there fading really badly or the pedal is getting really soft then u have a problem and these guys r rite its ur master cylinder most likely
