So i got a 88 dx...

as u can see this car is a pos, and for fun we took the doors off and went for a tour in the summer...

Anyways, this little thing is a tank.. its not a primary car for anyone, so its not a big deal...

the engine is fine, clutch is new, and has a sweet set of kuhmo winters on it... but over the last year its had a problem..

its bogs out if you press the gas. if you feather the gas as it revvs up it works ok, but if you floor it, it just bogs.. making it really really hard to accelerate. now belive me when i say the engine itself is in great condition, new plugs, distributer is clean, new filter, battery is new... so im guessing its a sensor...but thats all i got... its not somthing i want to put a lot of money towards, more of a car to play around with and to take empties back and not worry if the stack falls over and spills everywhere

anyone got any ideas?

Had the same problem in the past, it was the distributor. Not just the cap, the entire distributor was damaged from internal damage within the cap

test TPS and MAP... if those two check out okay, test out a known good distributor.
