tein is worth every penny... bought a set for the X and it's amazing, smooth ride yet really responsive and just stiff enough...

two thumbs up for sure!

I've had my EF from the beggining and had few setups. Right now I have GC coilovers on illuminas with the top GC hats (length extenders).
Don't waist your money on Tein or what I have now.
Get KONI shocks Race setup. They are short.
Part#
F 8041-1166Race
R 8041-1164 race

Set up spring rates according to your taste. With my my 400F and 300Rear, it's great setup for the street with my upgraded rear sway bar and all the bushings....

^^ have you even tried tein or are you just talkin???

you stay on the road with teins, and you don't jump all over at all..

you get what you pay for... it's true in everything throughout life... if you don't want to waste your money on teins that's fine, but you'll get a lower quality ride... I can see how people are more hesitant to spend that kind of money on susp for an older car, but i can definitely tell you if you value it as much as it seems you do you won't regret it..

it's real smooth on the highway, noone has been able to tell the difference between stock suspension or my tein set up while cruising.. the big difference is in lane changes or while cornering, then you can feel it stiffen up..

progressive rate springs FTW!

i'd definitely recommend that you get a ride with someone that has a tein set up so you can feel the difference... that's the one thing with suspension, it's a fairly integral part of the car and most people choose which one they're going to buy on price... personally i'd rather cheap out on something that's purely show than something that keeps my tires (the most important part of the car) touching the road...

The Tein are also full coilovers where the Skunk2 are sleves. The price and ride quality will be one extreme to the other.

I'll just repost from some one that actually has experienced many setups and is not a JDM fanatic or a name worshipper....

"Koni race are basically koni sports(yellows) that come from the factory shortened and revalved with the SPSS3 race valving. Also tossed on some ground control extended tophats. Running 650f/750r springs. as some of you may know i've ran just about every adjustable suspenion tein offers, cusco, zeal, tokico, koni sports and buddly club N+ shocks. i have to say these are the best feeling shocks i've ever owned after the Tein RS and Tein N1's. not bad for a $1200 setup.
shock travel is awesome. i have the springs with a slight amount of preload, just enough to keep the spring seated at full droop. the car has about a 1 finger gap all around.
basically, if you're thinking about running some JDM stuff that is going to cost around $1100-1200, go with these. i doubt you'll find anything as good for the price."

Quite personally, I'm very happy with my OMNI's. You've seen my car roll and it doesn't bounce all over the place. Next time I see you, I'll take you for a rip. You can be the judge.

Krystyn go with the Teins if you want the ride quality you will definately get a good ride out of them. Sk2s are just sleves like what Mike said up there ^^. You could even try Koni Yellows on H&R Race not a bad setup.. but for adjustabillity coilovers might be your best bet. . .

lol.. you can borrow my suspension for the winter just come pick it up lmao.. jk

i've experienced many different set ups too, full coils, partial coils and brand name vs. no name.

what's YOUR experience??

for about 1g Tein basics aren't that bad IMO...

plus these aren't adjustable, and this guy hasn't said if these are the most comofrtable for track / road? etc...
