SI 5 spe trans ?
How can I tell the difference between an SI 5 spd trans and the others (cx dx) 5 spd trans? 5th gen civics...thx

Do a search on tranny types and numbers, they are all stamped. Find out the numbers and look for the stamp on the tranny when you are looking to buy one.

apparently, there is no known designation but I'm sure if you look in the Chilton manual, it'll tell you how to distinguish between the two.

You can tell a DX/CX/VX tranny from a EX/Si by numbers cast into the housing.

Just above the filler plug is a set of numbers.

P20/A000 is for DX/CX/VX
P20/B000 is for EX/Si
