shifter linkage question
hey i have a quick question ............how to remove the shifter linkage from the transmission it looks like its got a steel band....like a hose clamp..... around the linkage ..............i'm trying to replace the rubber boot
Thanks for the help JUSTIN |
pull back the rubber boot.. remove the c-clip and get an 8mm punch and punch the **** out of the bitch pin:D or if you have access to an air chisel.. that would be the best option
right zeeman? lol:wink: |
air chisel is your best friend.
The bitch pin is a PITA....hence why its called the bitch pin. The little c-clip may seem invisible...right chris? lol But actually its quite visible and needs to be removed first to have access to the bitch pin. Good luck. Don't forget to remove the 12mm bolt that holds the stabilizer bar to the tranny. |
just make sure you don't use weak objects to try to knock the pin out of place. Sometimes objects such as nails or screws will fit perfectly.. but they will snap off. But only torqueless guys tend to break weak objects in there and get it stuck and leave it for the big powerful boost whores to take it out the next day.
