shaky brakes even after replacement..
hi everyone.. i've got a slight problem..
my pops has a 94 camery, he noticed and i noticed after i drove it.. it had really shaky brakes near the end of a complete stop.. so we changed all the brakes today.. and still notice the same problem. all parts are new, rotors and brake pads.. for the front and back.. what else could cause this shaking? and yes i do have some experience in changing rotors and brakes. any suggestions?
thanks in advance for all your help.

fuct wheel bearings will also give you this problem...
actually, I have the same thing with my 90 Civic, I don't know what it is yet, all my brake componets are also new. It can also be a bent rear axle, but in my car the steering wheel shakes too so it's gotta be something else.

how about the calipers? Maybe the calipers are seizing up a little. I remember when I did a brake job on my 1989 legend. I changed both front and back brakes. I changed both rotors and pads for front and back, and I still had a slight vibrating problem.
I ended up putting more of that grease (I dunno what its called) into the slider of the caliper. It helped out a lot, so it could be the slider in the caliper.

did you remove all of the rust and debris of the hubs when you replaced the rotors? either that or you have a bent hub. Thats all that could be the problem unless your wheel bearings are so bad that they are loose, that wouldnt cause a pulsation under braking.

well my cousin did the back braking system.. and i did the front.. on different occassions.. cuase he changed the front brake pads but didnt' touch the rotors.. and when i did the front rotors. of course i took out the brake pads.. and saw that the pads had two shims on them.. i am certain he just put the new shim on the old one.. so i took the old shim out and cleaned the newer one and coated it with lub.. could this be the problem for the back becuase i didn't check the back? but if it were the shaking feels like its coming from the front. unproper shim replacement causing pausation?
