Rpm Not Stable

neone what this could be???
my RPM'S go from like 900 to 1400 up and down....

just started to do this...

while in neutral......

???? neone?

mine does that when the ngine is cold when i 1st start it in tha morning.... as far as i know its normal

could be crappy gas, mine did that on one tank of gas that i got somewhere in newmarket. I filled up after that and the problem went away. Maybe add some octane booster if you filled up at a crappy gas station.

hmm intresting will do guys ..thanx for the suggestions.. as for the gas...

i kno i mixed it...esso and sunoco...i never do but i had to this time ...
do ut hink that can be a problem?

nope engine light is off...

runs normal when im drivign just when i stop or something at a light and pop it in neutral...it does it...

hmm i say check out the vacuum hoses, all the rubber hoses from the brake booster, pcv valve, Evap, map sensor, cruise if u have it.

ya get a haynes or chilton...

BTW, how much do there run for and do they have them at bookstores like barnes and noble, or can i get them through a honda dealership?

i think the IAC is responsible for only cold start up, but im not 100% sure, the helms can be had at the dealer but costs a pretty penny. Chilton and Haynes are cheap

you are low on coolant or have air in the coolant lines

vacuum leak

bad IACV

bad high idle sensor (aka coolant temp sensor )
