re:obd2 and O2 with cat
My 96ek hatch had a O2 sensor in the cat. Going to upgrade the exhaust, will the new cat have to have the same? Can i run a cat without a O2 sensor and use the O2 hole in my aftermarket headder by the collector? Will it set off trouble codes or even work? I there a reason why the O2 sensor is in the cat?
thanx for the info

well there is a reason why one o2 is before the cat and the other is after the cat.
You need to use 2 o2 sensors, 1 before the cat and 1 after. Or an o2 simulator to act as the o2 after the cat.
Or convert to obd1 and not have to worry about using 2 o2s and just have the 1 before the cat....lol
