puffing black smoke??????

My 93 del sol has been parked for 2 months (make over) after being driven all winter...now I've noticed that it puffs black smoke out the tail pipe and an unusually large amount of black condensation dripping from the drain hole in the muffler. I'm sure that the 2 are related somehow but don't know what causes this? It does not burn oil which would make blue smoke and would stink but the smoke is defenatelly black and does not smell. Antifreeze would smoke white. It's been raining here steady for the past 4 weeks and wonder if this smoke is only acumullated condensation? Anyone have any ideas???
THX

It could be the carbon build up?

That would be my guess.

what you need is a good fuel treatment in the tank, a full tank of gas, and you need to blast the highway till your tank is empty. maybe visit an open track day or something!! the water is just condensation in your exhaust.

the black stuff may be your fuel going bad - 2 months of sitting will do that to ya. I'm guessing you didn't put fuel stabilizer in?

after that, I'd recommend a de-carbonizing procedure on your motor, just for good measure to keep the oil galleys clear of carbon buildup.

my friend had that.

we used a gas tank pump to suck out all the old gas.

put in sonoco 94 and some fuel line treatment....

cleared up no problem...
also, go get your oil changed and filter too.
