I think b16civic runs the joint or something...he's somehow involved first hand. You haters need something better to back up your claims. NEone got a scanned receipt for work done that they are unhappy with? NEone have anything specific to say, like type of engine work and what went wrong? Cuz these stories of "my couzin's brother's baby mama got her whatshallwecall it engine work done, and it was a long time ago...I don't remember the whole story, but somehow her windshield cracked, and....at the end it's L&Bs fault !" just won't fly. I'd really like to know of any one specific incident with some sort of proof. I'm not saying anyone is lying, but, after all this is the internet...and people like to....make stuff up. So don't knock a man's business if you have no proof.

Why, are you gonna fire someone You...pack your things, you're fired!!

Look, we just want some solid answers as to whom to trust engine work to. It's not like I have a Sunken 10 (sp??) in my back yard where I hone my own cylinders. This is good stuff MartinG.

oh baby, i didnt know that
but yea, my comment wasnt directed at b16civic or his family etc etc personally, but i really dont hear many good things about the store. true, simply "hearing" things is meaningless. but my friend has had his flywheel lightened at L&B and it definately wasnt a good job...he didnt even bother putting that on his car.

Ok, that's the kind of solid info we'd need to make an informed decision about any shop. Did your friend contact L&B and did they do anything about it. What was not right about the lightened flywheel that made him not want it on the car?

Here what L&B are good people, i got my block done by them.
It turned out good.I tried a few other machine shops and got some pretty S#$T results. But i will say it again call this guy at this new shop. SNS racing. No he doesn't have the best prices in town. but he will get you head and valves done right. He's been a machinist for years working at past speed shops, Now he's got his own new equipment. This guy builds 1000 HP motors, so he knows what he is doing. Call the guy. Steve.
