I need new brake pads! I would like some performance pads but I don't want to spend a fortune on them, any suggestions?what do you guys think about AEM pads? are they worth it? any performance pads out there with decent like on them? it's just for the street. Thanks!

good pads don't come cheap.. if you can afford it go for ceramics.. but i jus bought highh class pads for my sisters integra and it was 150$

i use the pads from ct... they are more then good enough for the street... plus sincethey are so cheap you can change them bi yearly and always have good pads on

what's the life span on ceramics? the originals lasted me 92k do that should give you an idea how I use my brakes. Doesn't CT sell more than 1 type of pads? which ones are you talking about? motormaster or something?

i have cermic pads the are rybestus, i got the for 110 and they alos prcitically eliminate all break dust, with my old pads i was washing my wheels like eery third day, it was a bitch

Why is everyone recommending ceramic pads? Don't you realize that they wear down your rotors faster?

Go with OEM Honda -- whose pads are made by Nissin, which also manufactures the pads for AEM. They're an organic compound and are a good balance between wear and stopping power -- perfect for the street.

If you want a bit more bite, try a carbon-metallic compound like the ones used in Hawk or Performance Friction pads.

hawk hps street pads are suppose to be great...aem is abit mroe aggressive than stock its' also said to be good....or oem or rybestos is a well known name

you want cheap pads? try maxi pads, i hear they are great performance for cheap 4.99 four pack (the ones with the wings have that extra bit of leakage protection)










why does everyone expect everything good to be cheap. you want performance but you dont want to spend a fourtune...something doesnt fit here

I have to agree. if anyones bought a new honda then think back to how long the original pads and rotors lasted. Buy them from the dealer!

green stuff is ..well green, and they aren't that great!! i'd rather get oem pads! but than again honda pad are made by nissin and they're amazing!!! u might want to think about getting carbon fiber pads from KVR or Carbon ferro pads from hawk (HPS for street) they're both very good pads!! and the kvr is cheaper than oem pads and the hawk is around oem prices! pm me if u want more info! i tried 12 different brands and material pads on my car, i think i know a little about brake pads!

Well I am using:

Brake Rotors from Napa Autoparts

with PBR Ultimate brake pads...

this is on my 96 Civic Coupe...and the car stops really nicely..

best thing on parts...I spent under $210

ok seriously conatc williams performance friction and get their pads you can also get them through a dealer like wheel and tire zone. most of my racing friends that have them, have been in total disbelief as to how well they work.

Williams performance friction has sold brake formulas to most of the big names in brakes, however the best performing formulas they use for their own line of pads... they are definiately something to use I hear.. I'll be using them up front on my car with Monroe shoes (that I know williams created the formula for) in the rear. I'd use williams stuff in the rear if they made brake shoes... right now it's just pads...

Don't get pads just for there name. Someone I know bought ENDLESS pads because they're JDM. They wore out really fast and he paid 2x the price of his old pad.

Just get the best performing pad for your application.
