omni power or H&R/tokico

omni power or H&R/tokico
right now i have Tokico Illumina's with H&R sports but i'm seriously considering a switch to Omni Power coil-overs
I want my ride to be neutral handling with as little understeer as possible, but yet still be comfortable on 1000+km trips.
my main concern is with the omni's high spring rates of 560F/448R vs my H&R sports being 330F/280R.
i have a chance to basically get brand new omni's for an absolutely killer price in the US (picked up in the US too so no brokerage fee's etc), so i'd just be selling my suspension set-up and adding alittle money too it, like maybe $50-$100.
think its worth it or would ya just try a stiffer spring with the illumina's?
Drop wise, either way i'd be going 2"F/1.75-1.8"R)
leaning heavily towards trying out the omni's, and no worries about winter. i'll just bolt stock back in since its pre-assembled anyways and can be done easily.

Well I think switching to the Omnis might not be such a great idea. They are alot stiffer then your current set-up and they lack any damping adjustments whick your Illuminas do have. Just my opinion, but I think be able to adjust the ride is alot more important then adjusting the height.

hmmm, dampening on the illumina's is good and i have it set soft (gonna try 2 front, 4 rear though), but from all the reviews i've read, the omni's are stiff but do not seem like it cause its matched well.
any more input? if i keep the illumina's i'll just add H&R Race or Neuspeed Race for the drop i want. right now its 1.75/1.5, i'm thinking 2.25/2" of the Neuspeed Race
gotta get the rear washer trick done soon too, lowering more is gonna throw the camber out more....my poor toyo's, lol.

Exactly. I'm a satisfied Omni user. It might ba little stiff, but it makes up for it on the corners.
My only beef is the clunking coming from the rear. It sounds loose and I cannot find out why. I spoke with another Omni user and he said his car was clunking in the rear, too. I replaced the lower fork mount bolts because we had to cut them out. They aren't OEM Honda bolts, so I think that might be my problem.

just confirmed spring rates with US omni wholesale/distributor and i can get
12K/10K
10K/8K
8K/6K - not very popular i guess
matched spring rates can be done:
10K/10K or 8K/8K can be done as well, basically any combination between 12-10-8-6. 12 is too stiff, 6 is too soft, so i'm thinking 10K/10K. I want to make it more neutral but obviously don't want oversteer. 10K/8K i think will keep the car to front heavy
Also keep in mind i do not plan on upgrading the stock 13mm rear sway bar, so thats why i'm thinking of matched spring rates.
i'd do 10K front, 9K rear if they had it
