Question new to this (large pics of my ride inside....)

howdy.

i got myself a 95 civic cx hatch recently.

i did the stereo
(4 12" memphis DVC subs, 1600w kenwood amp, 12 cubic foot box/wall in the back of the hatch, no back seats )
won 2 competitions with it so far..

i had the body work done (skirts are all molded in, handles are shaved, antenna shaved, etc...pics at the bottom of the thread)

i did the engine.
b16a dohc vtec
and did a 5spd swap at the same time..(automatic sux)

recently i had to change mufflers...since, it feels like i suffered a loss almost .....maybe it's just me :\

my question, what can i do to this b16a to give it some kick *** torque?

cams? headers? bigger exhaust? high flow cat? turbo?

what would be the best route to get the most outta this bad boy (without doing juice to it)

anyway...here's my ride..all bought and payed for....

Get rid of that huge box in the rear, then your car will be faster. I'm just joking. I can't answer your question but I'm sure these guys will. I'm still learning a lot from this forum.

yikes do the underlights make you go faster? As for wanting to go faster, lose the subs.

Torque and a b16 is an oxymoron, lol. The only way is Forced Induction (turbo , nitrous, supercharger)..... but hey i sprayed a stock b16 with 100 shot for a year wiht no problems. There is NOTHING wrong with spray.

And bro, lose those back lights, fendors, and front bumper please!! Oh and smash the underglows, lol.

Which B16a do you have swapped in?
Have you upgraded your clutch? At least done a tune-up?

I have no comments on your car but if you want it go fast while keeping the things on your car, I think turbo is your friend.

Vortech supercharger!!!!

you'll never get torque outta that motor w/o boost of some kind. turbo or s/c, that part is up to you.

Supercharger!....you are not going to get any crazy amount of torque with a b16.

tshirt ninja, bingo..

as for my car being in niagara by the great canadian midway, yep.

i live on river road..i go to niagara college.

as for the tail lights, someone took a baseball bat or something to my old ones, so i took it to the shop and had them replaced with these..the bezel around them is painted to match (has pearl and gold flake)

im happy with the look of my car...the undercar kit, etc....

as for my front bumper. i love it. it's not that ricey big mouth crap..it's more square/aggressive styles, rather then the typical wingswest big mouth nonsence they offer for my car...

as for tune up, not yet..havnt been driving it a lot.... been in the shop too much :P

pulleys and stuff...no...what benefits do they all offer?

as for the sticker on my hatch by my tail light... there's too my gold flake in that one spot...the hatch part is going in for a redo on the 7th.....

how many horse would a supercharger or turbo add....

as for the rainbow stickers. yep, im a ***.

hope that clears that up

people say honda ricers are ****..well...here i am. hah!

as for fibre glass enclosure..that aint gonna happen....

my box is tuned for 25hz.... it's such a bitch to tune fibreglass to get it to hit as clean as a well built custom box.... i've won 2 comps with it... i dont plan on changing it...

im not looking for BLISTERING performance..just some nice kick!

and ferio, i play ddr there, and at marvel.....im probally going to be working at marvel for the summer..though, i wont leave my car there...as it's like a 5 min walk from my house.

To each their own. You don't need to please anyone with your car, as long as you like it.. thats all that matters.

but i am gonna say.. that front bumper reminds of transformers.. so cool!! they really should have made an EG hatch into a transformer on the show.

and about the turbo..
Depends on how the turbo is set up, as well as type, size and the pressure its putting out.

A single turbo on a d16 civic can make it go from like 120 up to 180+ on 6 psi if its built right.. you could probably go for more (200+ easily) on the b16 if its been built right as well.

btw, i like the one peice headlights.

thanks. the headlights are pretty sweet....

the angel eyes burned out quick..and i even added resisters to the lines, and a relay.

i love my front bumper

from what im reading, the b16a@7800rpm is approx 178hp-ish... (not at the tires)..i wonder how far a good turbo could push it....

whats the avg price of a turbo?

i think your a little mistaken on the FG issue

only issue you have is making the fiberglass rigid enough for a lrager box, but tuning it is the same process as a custom built MDF box, no lie..

fiberglass just needs curves and reinforcments to be strong, same with large flat panels of MDF buts its much easier to brace MDF
