Need suspension advice
I need advice on a nice coilover setup for my EK coupe. I dont need dampening adjustment, just height adjustment(0.5-3+inches) with a fairly nice ride quality. I have looked into a few but the prices went up a bit on the set i was gonna get so im looking for other options. Anyone used the progress full coilover kit? Also do you think GC coils with koni reds would be nice?

what size rim and tire combo was that b? IM getting 17 x 7.5 rims with 205/40/17 tires. I think I may have found a suspension, its the progress competition series II coilover kit. Anyone have experience?

I had 17s, it never tucked. What I call a tuck is where the lip of the rim is aligned with the top of the fender.
as for progress, that was one of the susp I was considering when buying mine. besides that, didn't I recommend that to you a few weeks back?

yup but you probably recommended the series I set which is revalvable and i think it has a larger shock. Anyways i think thats what im gonna go with for sure. It offers 1"-3" drop and nice spring rates.
When I say tuck I am thinking of just a slight tuckage of the tire sidewall under the fender, not too much but enough so the car has a nicely lowered stance while not being slammed.
What tools would you recommend if I was going to be doing this myself with a couple helping hands?

depends...
if your a pretty boy and dont like to dirty your clothes or hands I suggest a shop or someone who knows what there doing.
If you want to get down and dirty, dont spare...
full blown
air compressor, impact wrench
All you need really is an impact wrench (or ratchet if you use hand)
14mm deep socket, 17mm deep socket, 17mm open ended wrench, and 19mm for wheels.
thats all.
Spring compressor will help out if using hand tools.

Nah, I like to get dirty which is why I wanna do it myself. I already have access to a large air compressor and I can get an impact gun. Should I get a torque ratchet to torque the bolts down to there specific ft/lbs? Also What kind of anti seize compound should I use?
How are the princess auto spring compressors?

you can find out all the torque secs for all the bolts and make sure there all good.
I do it to every car I work on. Gives me peace of mind.
For anti seize just go to CT
they have some in a grey bottle its like $5 works great.
I like the spring compressor from PA...
i got it on sale for xmas when i was like $15
has 2 clamps on the top, works fast and stays put, alot better than the rent a tool one from CT.
if you need any help let me know.

the "click" style torque wrenches from CT are like $80 -100
and the husky from HD is like $80 for their rop one, or same price as CT as well.
The thing with click ones is you need to calibrate them though or else they can be way off with their settings which does u no good.
I will try and get you all the torque specs for your car, or send you the sheet with it on it.
Tips? hmm
sure.
For the rear LCA bolts which are usually a biatch to get out, use lotsa heat on them, and then hit them with the impact gun, but quickly switch from forward to reverse to break the seize inside.
it works most the time, just keep hammering for a quick second in forward, then switch fast t reverse and keep doing this fast untill it fianlly starts to spin full in reverse and comes out, alot of rust dust should pour out too
