Need a quick reply before tomorrow.

I have a 92 civic with P28 ecu inside. My car is auto. My friend lend me a integra 1.8L ECU forgot the code. I think it was pr4 or something anyways. My question is his ECU is 5 spd and my car is automatic, would the ECU from a 5 spd work in a automatic? I just need it to do my emissions test because i think it is my ecu that is faulty so i will switch it back after the e-test is done.

I just need an answer yes or no and would it do any damage to my tranny if i switch it around? My friend told me that if i had a 5 spd and i put in a auto ECU it would run no problem, but what if it's the other way round?

I hope someone can reply me before asap before tomorrow morning. Thanx for your help ppl. Appreciated.

yeah i dont think it will work. Why do you think its your ECU thats hurting ur emissions? Have you had it modded or chipped?

5 spd ECU will NOT operate an auto tranny.

I think it may physically fit and run, but an integra ECU will make your car run rich. We tried my old integra ECU with my friends CRX, and it fit but, gurgled down the road spewing unburned gas out the pipe. It'll cause you to run high in hydrocarbons (I think).
