Ractive has had a replica for the last couple of years it looks nice too... but it has the usdm tip instead of the JDM tip......personally, i would prefer to spend $300 on an axle back, instead of $600-$700

The Ractive one has that ugly logo on the tip and the welds aren't as clean as that one on ebay. The Mugen one has just the right exhaust note; not too loud.

don't get me wrong.... i love the MTL..... but at the same time i don't have $700 for an axle back piece....those funds could be put towards my swap, and dollar for dollar, i'll bet my swap dollar will get me more gains than your muffler dollar

but let me repeat "i love the MTL"

hahahha

Well the MTL is designed for the B16A/B with the purpose in retaining as much torque as possible without restricting the outflow

...so I'll stop now

but cosmic you're right, $700 is ....actually it's more like $1200 + tax in Toronto is really really hefty price to pay for, but Mugen is like the Lexus of Toyota I guess OEM quality no doubt..

damnit! Stop showing me that ! Hehehe...yo man where did you buy your MTL from in Toronto? I'd ideally like to find a place around in Toronto that doesn't charge me like $1200+tax man

i actually bought it used off a person on the net.
As far as price, it was too good to ressist. I wasn't even thinking about the MTL, was going to buy an ES style muff....

try to find someone who imports stuff from japan privately.(there are lots of people who do this)you should be able to get a better price cause most shops mark up the prices for the MTL.

Good luck in your search.
Try to start another group buy, maybe there is more interest now.

oh... ya just so you know
the only difference on the look of the muffler from the real thing is the logos are not there..... the mugen unit# plaque and the JASMA plaque other then that it's identical...

and as for the logo on the tip..... as pictured by canttx
that logo is no longer there on the newer mufflers from MUGEN....
so that's why I say no one would know it's a knockoff unless they take a look underneeth for the plaques

as for the sound so far it's so quiet you won't even notice you have a performance exhaust after a while.... but it's still noticably louder then stock... but overall a great product
Thanks jacsha!

What's the dif in price?

Wouldn't mind the Mugen 2ble pass, but if I have to go through Kingmoto to get it I have a feeling I'm going to be spending a fortune.

Does anyone know where to get a Mugen 2ble pass in TO?
If not, I wouldn't mind hearing /seeing this one.

Trust me....

Ask anyone who has REAL MUGEN parts....

Seat belt pads don't count BTW...
