Just put in Motul 300V 5W40 today, used Motul 8100 5W30 last time. This time, I want the best there is. Even for a D block, it still deserves the best I can afford.

Also changed brake fluid Motul DOT 5.1 brake fluid, and Motul tranmission oil. Motul will be my designated car oil supply from now on.

Guys, there is no scientific or numeric facts backing anyone's opinion rendering this whole thread useless.
When google spiders this thread, it will make us all look like morons to any internet visitor.
If you don't have dyno results, several years of concrete visual proof, scientific articles or debates, then your opinion is no better than the next guy using tech2000 oil.
*think* before you post. This is why this subject will keep coming up every 2 weeks.

All I pretty much use is Motomaster Synthetic blend 5w 30. I get the best of both worlds while keeping my pockets full at the same time.

How's this for scientific data, complete with dyno results. Some people should do the research before opening their mouths. The above list includes independant testers.

Those who know use AMSOIL.

If this list isn't enough, check it out for yourself, plenty of data out there.

Kid, I don't know where you came from nor do I give a rat's a$$.

You are making yourself sound ignorant by stating that anyone not using Amsoil doesn't know anything about synthetic oils. In fact, just about everyone on the thread is convainced that their oil is better than everybody else's. I can thechncially make my own oil blend and be convainced that it's the best in the world because it performs better than crisco and my engine seems to run fine.

The insult was not directed towards you or anyone else. It was meant as a reminder of how often this subject comes up and how everyone's opinion differs. Of course, you'd know that if you actually did a search on a forum.

Now why don't you do everyone a favor and crawl back to whatever hole you came from and do more reading and less yapping.

I don't see no Motul vs. AMSoil

Gotta love French oil If it is proven in the competition, that's enough selling point. Use what the pro use.

Amsoil rocks

Like the title says. Amsoil 5W30!!!

Literally Night and day difference over other "synthetics".
I use it on my daily driver where I put on atleast 50K-60K km a year.
Also engine runs super smooth...

reviving an old thread

just switched to motul 8100 5w30 on my lil d16.

i guess it's running a bit smoother?
i flushed the engine 3 times with regular honda 5w30 first.

all my other fluids are honda (tranny, brake/clutch, coolant)

i think it's mostly psychological... but it's probably good since i beat on the d16 pretty hard.

castrol full synthetic is usually on sale for 19.99 at canadian tire. i usually just buy that because regular dino castrol oil is now 16.99 sometimes so i might as well fork out the 3$ for synthetic.

Tcc is proud to announce that Carst Performance is Sponsoring the club. They are an Official Amsoil distributor and are offering great prices on it as well.

That's what I've been using since day one, never had a problem. Good price anything more is pretty much wasting your money.
