i can remember hitting vtec in 5th gear before.... its really not that bright though.... all your doing is giving us all a bad name and tearing your car apart cause its not meant for that kinda stress.... but who knows its your life and your car.... just remember that when you smash up your car on one of your highway runs with the "big boyz" its the rest of us you are left with a bad name and shittier insurance premiums

what happens is you look and admire... and acknowledge the fact that your car can't compete... and if it can that just means the owner of the other car isn't as stupid as you

well if this is so then why do you care if your car can' t go faster....most people would never have know abotu yoru problem cause they dont' go 200 km/h....and speedo's are not accurate at that speed so you might have been going 220 or 180.....

thats the thing...i dont care, but if its suppose to go faster....there has to be something wrong....and if something is wrong, what could affect it....i mean...if its just something that is in the computer, then i dont care, but since it is not, then it has to be mechanical. And if there is something wrong mechanical, then what is going wrong next??? im just wurried about something else going out the door....

Do you understand where i am coming from now??

yo virgin, you have to slow down on the roads , learn the track and take it there , solve all your problems with the car get the fuel pump working and power steering fixed since you want the power steering so bad and not worrie about not going to be able to go over 190 because it takes you like 1hour to get up to that speed anyways

you've lost horsepower somehow... whether it's from the chip, bad plugs, etc... I have no clue... bottom line is when your MPH drop, it means your HP has dropped. It could also be that it may have been a windy day and you ran into a wind resistance barrier, but you SHOULD be able to go faster... that is if you wanna put yourself in danger. What kinda rubber do you run?? We've all done it at some point out of sheer youthful stupidity/curiosity ... there is no denying it, just keep it safe and smart. If I wanted to go fast again, I'd take it to the Bonneville Salt Flats.

could be a allot things.. do you have any other symptoms? like does it bog sometimes? or misfire? when it tops out does it just die off from power loss or does it cut right out and kill the engine for a sec..?

like bbarbulo said its probably road conditions... hill, wind, temp...

it was on the qew, at around 2AM....no wind, hills, or anything like that...it is like it doesnt get enough fuel...it doesnt speed up, the engine doesnt shut off....its really fucked. another thing, just because your asking, the engine doesnt idle nicely....its kinda going up and down....between 750-900 RPM...i donno if thats normal or what, but i know that my old engine never did that...

letme know what you think..

Johan

wow you love wasting your money you put in a 2001 ls engine with less then 30,000km on it ,, should not need new plugs and wires , only thing i would suggest is fuel filter and fuel pump

all i am saying is that you are spending stupid amounts of money on what , for an engine to move up and down in rpm once and a while is nothing ,,, thats the ecu adjust to different thing's , if your car cuts out at 190 i would not worry about it if you get busted over 150 you are done ,,,, we will worry about the 190 problem down the road after your plans for a supercharger or turbo have bin met and we have to change the ecu around and get the car tunned the right way at a dyno ,, p.s 13' rims & tire 's and the make of tire you have, i would not go over the speed of 140km ,, i had shitty tires on my last civic and every time i went over 160km i was taking a chance and my last tires where just a bit better then the tires you are using now,
ok , buying spark plugs and wires is ok for a tune up but sorta a waste of money ,,, unless you got aftermarket wires the one that are on your car now should be fine and the spark plugs that acura use are suspose to be changed at 80,000km not 40,000 but hey it will still help just that money could have bin spend else where ie: fuel pump ,,,

i dont think that he is going after porche and vette ,, because most civic owners know it's just not going to happen
