nice, although not done with good shocks yet, you can always work on that. glad to see you got the alignment though and are doing it atleast right without the shocks. Enjoy and save up for some nice shocks, like oh say Koni Yellows, hehe

The Eibach Sportlines were actually 50$ and used for 4 months and in excellent condition/
Today i have everything ready to lower my car, and was plannign on doing the washer/camber repair to the rear at the same time. Unfortunately, which i should've known, my bushing were siezed and i am faced with 2 costly options. Order 2 new bushings for 20$ each and order 2 new bolts for 5$ each or Get Rear LCA's I've decided to get the LCA's so in the spring i will have some nice metallic blue lca's or the omni powers. So...Cheap Suspension Job is running up quite the bill. And i dont even have shocks.. Eibach Sportlines 50$ LCA's 120$ Washers .80c Alignment 80$ Spring Compressor Free _____ Total $250.80 |
which bolts are seized? not all the bushings on the LCA can be replaced on the EK, at least they dont have a part number for it at honda...
Did you try an impact gun on the bolts? |
Kwasley,
If you broke or cut out any bolts ALWAYS replace them with OEM ones from Honda. They're 12 bucks each, but well worth it for the piece of mind. |
I did not have any power tools
we tried and tried to get it off but its siezed nothing broke instead of having to cut out the siezed ones and buy new bolts and bushings i am just going to buy new lca's |
try again with some air tools or take it to a shop and have them hit it with a big impact wrench, add some heat and most of the time they will work themselves loose if you jog back and forth between forward and reverse
you can pick up a set of used LCA's for pretty cheap, or get brand new ones from parkway with bushings for less than $50 each I think, with the members discount |
ya thanks for the tip
this project has really stressed me out and im just going to make the smarter move and wait til spring. i want aftermarket lca's in metallic silver or blue, very very sexy imo |
why waste your money though on them?
|
50 $ you say for used ones 100$ for new ones
ill see what comes around, ive got all winter to plan. |
keep an eye out you should be able to pick up OEM EK ro 1.6EL lca for cheap, specially someone who swapped in the omnis or something
or ebay as well |
