jdm, well i am specifically talking about b16's, jdm b16a's have 10.4:1 compression ratio versus the usdm b16's 10.2:1 CR.
I also beleive that jdm b16's don't have an EGR valve, this is prolly why lots of people with jdm b16 swaps have a hard time passing emissions.
With jdm engines you never know how many km's are on it, unless buying a whole front clip that comes with the cluster. Either way, you'll never know how the previous owner maintained it or how they beat on it. With a usdm engine, it usually is coming out of someones car, and they could tell you exactly how many km's are on it.
Your taking a chance when buying a jdm engine.
