oh, and i'd like to add another question in there, does it make a big difference when mated with a gsr tranny instead of the ls tranny? and how much of a difference?

is there even a jdm ls engine? i can say i've ever actutally heard of one.. although it could still exist

as for the gsr tranny it will rev up quicker cause of the more favourable gearing

These do exist... although very rare as most JDM tegs have either the B18C or B18C-R.

http://asia.vtec.net/specs/daintegra/

I've seen these before "B18B" stamp without the '1" at the end... they come in Honda Integra ESi sedans, in 1993 only. This was the year Honda released the newer 3rd gen Teg to the JDM market. North America didn't get it until 1994.

Of course you don't have to believe me, you could believe that guy up there who never heard of it before.

main question would be, how easy would it be to find replacemant parts for it. would USDM parts matt up with this engine???
if not i would stick with a usdm ls

all the parts are pretty much the same.... it's just the pistons that are different (but still same bore, so you can interchange between USDM and JDM versions) and the ecu is tweaked a little to compensate for the slightly higher compression.

If you know that one then maby you can tell me what my motor came from?
It's stamp is only "B16A"
there is no number after it also kinda like the B18B you were talking about.
If you can help that would be great!
Here's a pic of the stamp if it helps?
