JDM CTR Pistons
Okay soo i got a set of jdm b16b pistons and i plan on using them on a b18c1... do any one know how much clearens i will have between the head and the valve's?
PCT piston in an untouched 18c will put your c.r. a whisker below 13.0/1. you've been warned. piston valve clearance is just one of the few hinderances when running PCT's.
Your best bet is to 'clay' the motor before anything else.
Time consuming, but it's the only real way to tell your P-V clearance. Did you really need the PCTs? Should have looked into a set of JDM P73 or PR3s or even P30s. |
p30 would be the next best choice..
you will have no clearance issues if the head and block havent been decked and your compression will be about 12.4:1. with proper tuning you will be fine. some people on here are scared of compression but you will have no issues with your set up.
