How to remove shift linkage ?

How do you remove the shift linkage from the tranny ???
there is like a cotter or something and I can't get it out
any help would be apreciated

i had a bitch of a time getting this out
i used a thicker punch and my mini sledge in order to knock it out
it will eventually come loose...just takes patience

use a punch for sure... try to keep an eye out for where it lands.

you may need to make a tool.

it's ok guys I managed to do it without taking it off the tranny
it was still a bitch anyways but at least the engine is in now
