How low can I go?

When I had the civic I had 13x5 rims on it and when it dropped the tires tucked up in the fenders with out rubbing..

but with my sol im running 15x7 on a 40 offset with a 195/50/15 and they come out alot more then my sol. I'm getting coilovers soon and I'm wondering how low I can go?. it looks like the tires are going to rub on the fenders when it drops down.

does anyone know if im going to run in to this problem? or will the tires camber in enough to clear?.. I plan on going at lest 3 inchs.

From what I understand, driving daily with camber is not ideal, but what alot of vw guys do, who slam those things, is roll their fenders a bit, eastwood makes a tool to do so. But if they stick out.. I guess you could make some widened wheel arches and weld them on, which would look so sick, cuz no honda ppl do that.

it might LOOK like it'll be a problem, but in reality it will most likely clear everything with no problem... where you might have a problem with going that low, is the tire will shred itself on the framerail seam (front wheelwell under the plastic liner where the two halfs of the frame meet). you can bang that flat with a hammer, weld it up, and spray it with asphalt rubber undercoating. second problem you're liable to have is the upper control arms hitting the strut towers. some guys cut reliefs in the strut towers.

however, I know two sol'ers who were both super low (on stock 14 inch del sol 5 spokes) and I mean these guys were LOW LOW LOW... and they had no problems. so just get the coilovers, and go down to where you really wanna be, then raise it a 1/4 inch until nothing hits anything else.
