same reason as to why we are being forced to still drive fossil fuel powered cars eventhough the technology for electric cars etc has been around for almost a century.

i personally think it is going to work..

im from europe, and my dad had a golf rabbit and when gas prices would go up, we ran the car NITRO-BASED DILUENT/ (for thinning of the paints on nitro basis as well as of the alkynes paints) and never had any problems whatsoever with the car, we were able to drive all the way from Bosnia to Slovenia to Croatia.

In my opinion it will work if used in very small quantities. i would try it if i had another engine sitting in the garage (spare)... cause engines differ between europe and north america

I picked up a tin of acetone from rona today. I will try and report my mileage.

Right now I have a SOHZ ZC with a 4 speed tranny. I am currently getting around 530 a tank.

remember the key to this test is to make sure you guys dont rev the **** out of the motor etc you will have to drive it normally and then report the data.

Here a quick way to test.... Fill up, reset your trip meter. Then drive for half a tank. Fill up again and figure out your km/l depending on how much gas it took to fill the tank again. THis will probably be a lot more accurate then just driving until you think the tank is almost empty.

I saw a 13 - 14% increase in gas mileage on my first tank. I plan to run a few more tanks and will give a more complete answer.
