How to get up to 30% More gas milage
was on honda-tech and saw this post with this link.
basically if you add 3 ounces of your everyday regular acetone into 10 gallons of gas or per 10 gallon gas you will get gains of 30 percent.
here is the link to prove it
http://www.pureenergysystems.com/new...00069_Acetone/
do i believe it....no
but the site is pretty convincing.
what we need is a person with a beater willing to take on this challenge to see if there are any engine damage occuring because if it doesnt i sure as hell wont mind getting 30 percent better gas milage.

Acetone is a colorless mobile flammable liquid with melting point at -95.4 °C and boiling point at 56.53 °C. It has a relative density of 0.819 (at 0 °C). It is readily soluble in water, ethanol, ether, etc., and itself serves as an important solvent. The most familiar household use of acetone is as the active ingredient in nail polish remover. Acetone is also used to make plastic, fibers, drugs, and other chemicals.
3 ounces isn't much and its interesting that its soluable in ethanol.
How much does Acetone cost?

Looks like 5 gallons of Acetone costs $64.17 USD
1 gallon = $12.83USD
1 gallon = 128 fluid ounces
1 ounce = $0.10
5th gen Si has a 45L tank = 11.9 Gallons
So 3.2 ounces should be added to a full tank
Its a cheap experiment at 32 cents
I speculate that you will see an improvement in fuel economy, not 30% increase, maybe it comes at the price of a some power loss

i think it really works! not upto 30% more, but 2-15% as ppl are stating do a search on google tons of things about it...
and reason why it wouldnt grab alot of media attention is the same reason they dont create ever lasting light bulbs or tires... it takes away from the economy
