How fast

well he claims to be in germany so getting caught doing those speeds isn't a question...
and a stock 5th gen Si hatch can go past 200... i'm sure mine has a computer mod or something that i dont know about cause i hear everyone saying it should cut out at 190... and no downhills are needed either...
but civics aren't really known for there performance stock... they have a bountiful aftermarket cause that is where they shine...

well it depends on what stock civic. my SIR goes more then 200km/h but even that is too fast for me,
u want something fast buy a fast car... why get a civic????
if u want to go fast be prepared to tub that sucker out. with more then 20G's in the motor...
then i would change your name from STUPID FAST to STUPID IDIOT..... stick with your bike......
thats all im gonna say.

dude, buy an 88-91 bmw 325iS..its wat i had, daily i can EASILY go to 240 and it'd be very stable (providing the car is in good shape) and it was made to do so, it handles well at high speeds and brakes well...it costs like 5-7g here in german they are dime a dozen! it is only 2.5L too..very awesome car i loved it.

I ride a jetted and muzzied ZX-6R and have comfortably done 250 + and I didn't wink an Eye. My '03 SiR will happily break the 200 mark, but it will definately make you grip the wheel beyond that on stock suspension, rims, tires... Bottom line you'll never get the feel or speed enjoyment from any car. But I still swear by the hatch because for a car it's a lot of fun to drive, and easier to hop beyond the wheel to get to work at 5:00 AM.

A stock Civic is electronically limited to 190 km/h. Now, there are two trims in North America, 106, 127 and 160 hp. Each will have a higher top speed with the governor removed. about 200, 220, and 240 respectively (assuming there is enough gearing). However, if you are looking for a FAST stock car, you're looking in the wrong direction. In europe, I think the base is a 1.4 L motor... dunno about the power rating. Also, you have a diesel option.

TCC people, be nice to people on the board. if we dont like speeds posted then put up a sticky stating that and then ban people for posting speeds. it tends to get rude here sometimes so play nice.
