there probably fairly similar if not the same

bbarbulo 21-Jun-2004 10:35 AM

on what year Civic??

f22-dohc 21-Jun-2004 11:20 AM

92 bubbleback and 94 teg suspension????

we are dropping the car and for soome reason, withthe coilovers down to the max, the car doesnt get slammed....

could it be the fork???

imported_loudsubz 21-Jun-2004 11:29 AM

what damper forks? u talking bout where the fork attaches to the lca?

bbarbulo 21-Jun-2004 11:40 AM

ya, he's talking 'bout the fork that goes from the shock to the LCA.

and no, I dun think there is any height difference in the fork itself. what coilovers are they? Is the shock seated in the fork properly?

f22-dohc 21-Jun-2004 09:50 PM

they are teins.....

its weird cuz we have it at the lowest setting and its not dumped.

what else can affect the height??? upper control arm???

punkindrublic 21-Jun-2004 09:53 PM

you could just cut say an inch off the forks and weld them back together?? it'd give you the drop without comprimising the spring/shock assembly

bbarbulo 22-Jun-2004 08:36 AM

Suspension Techniques makes drop forks for Civics. Why do you care if the car is 'dumped'. Some coilovers do not allow the susp to go that low since the upper control arm will hit the strut tower... causing severe damage. So rather than allow dumbasses to 'dump' their cars, the coilovers limit adjustability to a reasonable height.
