maybe you should've checked the prices on tires before purchasing your rims. if you can't spend a little over 4 bills on tires for 16s then why did you buy rims in that size? if you don't care about performance then shop around the boards for some used tires. just make sure you get at least 2 of the same for the front or back. that way you can save lots of money! lol or you can buy some cheapo made in china wanli tires.

kumho 711s... they have a AA-A traction rating and even cheaper than the 712s... get those in a 205 and you have some solid grip...
and 80/tire is not expensive... i dont usually see too much cheaper than that... imagine if you were buying a bf goodrich or michelin... whew... 180/tire you prob would drop dead.

best bet is to drive across to Discount Tire in the states and hook up with some mad cheap Korean made tires. but yeah even locally they can be had cheap if you dig hard enough. i've heard of guys on 17s getting really nice looking korean tires for under $400. expect really POOR wet and cold traction though!! so be careful please.
