H22a

ok, was lookin for a engine block on the net and found a H22a from a prelude, the owner says he changed the valves and stuff, and askes 800 euro for it, is something around 1000-1250 dollars, he was going to put it in a Del Sol, should i go for it? Or will a B18a be better?

well there is a lot that needs to be done to make a h22 fit a del sol. You will need more than just the engine to make it work.

it's located in Belgium, so that won't be a big problem, but like zeeman said, there is gonna be allot of work to be done on the block to make it fit in a civic, so it will cost tons of money, and a other problemis that the block is being sold on a auction site, so whoever offers more on the block then me, will have it. But if i can buy it, then all the pieces outside the block ( air intake, header, ....) need to be for a prelude, so i'm afraid i'm gonna have to do allot of work to fit it in my civic, pipes are gonna need to be cutted and welded again, practically all my accesoires are gonna need to be changed into prelude-accesoires.

Uhh, no don't buy it..

god help you if it has problems, then what you gonna do?

It's always good to buy local so you can run back to the place when stuff messes up.

I pity the people that buy engines ONLINE to save some money.

true, have been thinking about that too, assume that there's something wrong, it could cost me more then do a swap in a tuningshop.

doign it yourself isn't the problem.. it's buying **** online.. Trust me, something will be wrong with the motor.. From a sensor missing to a blown headgasket, there will always be something wrong. It's hard enough dealing with people in person, good luck over the phone.
