It's a tricky swap. I was looking at one at DKN this year and you have literally a couple millimeters of room to spare in some parts of the engine bay. There is also much more custom work involved that with you typical D and B series engine swaps.

I've done H22s in civics a few times around now.
Main thing to consider, if ever anything fails in the engine bay, IE -Brake booster, you will have to pull the engine to fix it.
Do a search, you'll find many posts where I've rambled on about the H22 in a civic...

LOL.....just remove the airbox, pretty simple.......if you can't do that, you shouldn't be playing with cars anyways.....its not like you have to strip the car down to the bare sheetmetal just to change the sparkplugs.......LOL

as often as when you change your oil?
sounds like a bunch of whineing to me

Certain things like the BB and MC would require removing the intake manifold, but aside from that pretty much everything else is doable.
I replaced my timing belt while the motor was in the car. Yeah it was tougher than doing a b series civic, but still very doable.
If you can swap an H22 into a civic yourself, then dealing with these issues shouldn't be difficult.. Annoying yes, but not difficult.
As for clearance, I noticed mine being a bit lower than stock and on a stock suspension I did bottom out a few times over huge potholes, but no biggie..

Wayne, H22 swaps from shops generally range frmo $6000 + depending on the extras you ask for.
I used to do them for much less, but don't have the time anymore.

I have to do a H22 into a del sol next spring. For payment I'm getting a (dead) B18C/transaxle, linkage, ecu, wiring, mounts, etc for payment. My buddy is coughing up the $$ for extra parts required.
I'm thinking about doing a picture log of the install for other people to see how hard it is to do.

do a writeup Khosh, youd be the man for that
maybe even a quick price breakdown and where the good places to pick up the parts are
